• The only chutney you'll ever need.

Some flavours stick with you. The kind that transport you straight back to childhood, back to the kitchen, where the sound of mustard seeds popping in hot oil fills the air and the scent of slow-cooked tomatoes, garlic, and spice lingers. For Ronith Arlikatti, that kitchen belonged to his mum, his "Amma." Every meal was a ritual, every recipe a story, and every spice blend a lesson passed down through generations.

Stir into noodles, broths, or stir-fries for a deep, savoury heat. Use as a marinade for meats and vegetables, or drizzle over dumplings and grilled seafood or just use as a dipping sauce like we do at Hopper Joint!

Created by Chef Ronith Arlikatti

Ronith Arlikatti is a chef driven by memory, flavour, and a deep respect for the dishes passed down through generations of South Indian and Sri Lankan home cooks. Swapping medical school for Melbourne kitchens, he honed his skills under some of the city’s finest before launching Hopper Joint and, more recently, Amma’s - a love letter to the fiery pickles, punchy chutneys and fridge staples of his upbringing.

With Amma’s, Ronith distils his food philosophy into a jar: bold, honest flavours made with premium ingredients, guided by instinct and heritage rather than trends. Each product is crafted with the precision of a chef and the heart of a home cook, preserving the stories and spice of his family’s recipes for modern tables.
